PROBLEM: “Knowledge is Power” and today’s age is the age of information. So to keep up with the modern world there’s no better alternative than to gain knowledge. And library is an essential part to it. But establishing a library in a developing country like Bangladesh requires a lot of time, money and land. For a small country like ours, it is not always viable to obtain land and logistics for a library establishment let alone a sufficient grant.

EXISTING SOLUTION: The existing solution is pretty old school. Build a minimal library or a rotary library which costs less money and land. But for a rotary library, it is not possible to reach out the remote areas of the country. As a result, many people get deprived from questing knowledge. But even if there is a library, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people are not eager to visit them as of for now.

OUR SOLUTION: The main objective is to make the knowledge available and reachable for every one in every corner of the country. To do so we are proposing an idea of taking the library into ONLINE. The idea is simple, you get everything you could’ve got in a physical library, from reading journals to borrowing books, from group discussion to fully undistracted reader mode and so on so forth. Plus there will be additional features since the whole platform is digitalized. Our system will provide you the followings into two categories: Reading Part where you can get the followings -

  • Books by category (text books to novels and beyond)
  • Renowned national and international journals
  • You can read the books online, or can borrow it for a certain period of time.
  • An integrated notebook attached to your account so that you can take notes while you’re reading.
  • You can discuss a topic or a book in the discussion forum, or you can create your own groups and have a group study with your mates.
  • If you don’t feel like reading, you can listen to audio books and learn.

And Learning Part where you can -

  • Learning a new language, or developing a new skill, from programming to cooking you can learn a variety of things from our mentors.
  • You can practice and learn more about your or other religions through our Religious mentors.
  • Your creativity doesn’t stop here, you can flourish your writing skills by blogging about various things, who knows someday you may become a famous author!
  • Most importantly, many of our countrymen cannot read or write, they may want to learn but they may feel hesitated to go to an adult education center. But they can learn here without any hesitation.
  • We have a dedicated part towards adult-literacy where people of any ages can learn from zero to beyond.

Our online library not only solves the existing problems of a physical library but it goes beyond this. Let’s learn for the better future and be the best of ourselves.
